U.S.Flag Graveside services for Calvin Lewis Miller, 76, of Silverton and formerly of Lorenzo, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2001 at Lorenzo Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

He died June 24, 2001 at Veterans Hospital in Amarillo.

He was born May 12, 1925, in Lorenzo.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lorenzo. He served in the Army during World War II and was twice a prisoner of war. He was a cotton ginner. He moved to Silverton 18 years ago from Lorenzo.

He was preceded in death by his father,Lenard Miller on March 12, 1973.

Survivors include his mother, Louella Miller of Ralls; two daughters, Patsy Murdock of Gonzales and Janie Puryear of Lubbock; a friend, Ann McJimsey of Silverton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild
