Stacey Lee Mendoza, 26, of Lorenzo passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Lubbock's University Medical Center. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday at the San Lorenzo Catholic in Church in Lorenzo. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Rev. Wes Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Stacey was born January 12, 1980 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. On February 6, 2006 she married Antonio Mendoza in Lubbock. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She graduated from Vanden High School in Fairfield, California and attended South Plains College. She moved to Lorenzo in 1998 from Fairfield, California.
Survivors include her husband, Antonio Mendoza of Lorenzo, a son, Alejandro Mendoza of Lorenzo, her parents, Ruben Mendoza of El Paso and Karen Sharpe Mendoza of Abilene, her grandparents, Cruz Mendoza of Lorenzo and Virginia Sharpe of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and 2 sisters, Yolanda Mendoza of Abilene and Monica Mendoza of Vacaville, California. Serving as casket bearers will be Robert Gonzales, Johnathan Bierra, Arthur Mendoza, John Mendez, Albert Mendoza and Pablo Mendoza.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
