Funeral services for Fred B. McKinney, 66, of Lorenzo, were held Wednesday, June 26, 1991, at the First Baptist Church of Lorenzo, with the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor, and Rev. Danny Holman, pastor of the Lorenzo Assembly of God, officiating.
Interment followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
He died at 9:12 a.m., June 24, 1991, in St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock.
Mr. McKinney was born March 17, 1925, at Pilot Point, Texas, to B. C. McKinney and the former Rittie Mae Wilson, and married Bonnie Carter April 19, 1978 in Ralls.
He moved from Ralls to Lorenzo in 1978 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lorenzo.
He had been employed by the City of Ralls for 23 years.
Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife; a stepson, J. D. Carter of Glendale, AZ; three brothers, Bob McKinney of Pilot Point, Homer McKinney of Fort Worth, and Everett McKinney of Hobart, OK; three sisters, Frances Miller of Lorenzo, Belle Murphy of Waco, and Vera Hampton of Claredon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Carter McKinney, 86, formerly of Lorenzo, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012, in Brownwood. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Lorenzo, with Rev. Kris Knippa officiating. Burial will follow in Lorenzo Cemetery under the personal care of Adams Funeral Home - Lorenzo.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-6 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home in Lorenzo.
Bonnie was born on July 14, 1925, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She married Thomas Carter on August 8, 1943, he preceded her in death on November 18, 1976. She married Fred McKinney on April 19, 1978, he preceded her in death on June 24, 1991. She was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church. She worked at Pierot Drug Store for 21 years as a soda jerk. She moved to Clyde, Texas in 2005 from Glendale, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, a son, John Thomas Carter, and two brothers, James and Buster Satterfield.
Survivors include her son, J.D. Carter & wife Susie of Clyde, a sister, Rosa Lee Barcheers of Paris, Texas, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lorenzo Senior Citizens, 502 Van Buren Ave, Lorenzo, Texas 79343.
