Services for Anna Marie Majors, 70, of Lorenzo wree held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2001, at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with James Majors and Jeff Merimon officiating and the Rev. Dennis Williams assisting.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

She died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at the Ralls Nursing Home.

She was born May 22, 1931, in Paducah, TX. She married N.H. "Shorty" Majors on May 22, 1948, in Matador.

She was a member of the Baptist church in Thalia, TX. She moved to Lorenzo in 1962 from Lamesa. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Neal Majors, in 1953, and two grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of Lorenzo; three sons, Mike of Ralls, Mark of Lorenzo and Mitchell of Crosbyton; two daughters, Janie Pyle of Lorenzo and Jeanett Willingham of Lubbock; two brothers, Bill Armstrong of Durham, N.M., and Truman Armstrong of Midland; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services for N. H. "Shorty" Majors will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church, with James Majors, Josh Majors, and Jeff Merimon officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Shorty passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009, at his Lorenzo home. He was born May 30, 1922, in Paducah, to the late W. A. and Leona (Hays) Majors. He married Anna Marie Armstrong on May 22, 1948, in Matador. She preceded him in death July 18, 2001.

Shorty moved to Lorenzo in 1962 from Lamesa and was a ginner at Robertson Gin. He farmed for two years and was a night watchman for Lubbock Auto Auction for 22 years.

He was a WWII veteran serving in the US Marine Corps.

Shorty is preceded in death by a son, Robert Neal Majors, in 1953, and by two grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Majors, of Ralls, and Mark and Mitchell Majors, both of Lorenzo; two daughters, Janie Pyle, of Lorenzo, and Jeanett Henry, of Lubbock; one brother, O. H. Majors, of Lubbock; a sister, Betty Jo Buckingham, of Pampa; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
