Mass for Eustacio Holquin Lopez, 83, of Lorenzo was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 21 in the San Lorenzo Catholic Church with Reverend Aidan Maguire, pastor officiating.

Rosary was at 7 p.m. Thursday in the same church with the same officiant.

Burial was in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Lopez died at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born March 29, 1906 in Pecos and married Maria Urista on January 13, 1936 in Coahoma, Texas. She preceded him in death June 26, 1981.

He was a retired sheep sheerer, a member of Curfillista and the Sacred Hearts and the San Lorenzo Catholic Church.

He moved to Lorenzo in 1952 from Ft. Stockton, Texas.

Survivors include; one son, Edward Lopez of Lorenzo; 5 daughters, Enriqueta Piseno of Idalou; Estell Fierro of Chandler, Arizona; Ernestina Rodriguez of Lubbock, Elida Urive of Lubbock and Eva Garcia of Lubbock; 27 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Serving as pall bearers were: Alfredo Piseno, Joe Piseno, James Piseno, Raul Lopez, Ernesto Lopez, Adgustin Lopez, Jr., Johnny Lopez, Freddie Rodriguez, Felix Rodriguez, Frankie Rodriguez and Sammy Lopez.
