Rosary for Edward Urista Lopez, 63, of Lorenzo, was at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo. Mass was celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the same church with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper officiating. Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Edward passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born October 8, 1943 in Ft. Stockton to the late Eustacio and Maria (Urista) Lopez. He moved to Lorenzo in the 1950's, was a member of the Catholic Church and worked at Falcon Steel in Lubbock.
He is preceded in death by a sister; Ernestina Rodriguez in 1991.
Survivors include; four sisters and their husbands; Enriqueta and Jessie Piseno of Idalou, Estella and Jose Fierros of Phoenix, AZ, Elida and Guadalupe Urive and Eva L. and Nat Garcia all of Lubbock.
