Rosary for Cipriano (Pete) Lopez, 67, of Idalou was recited Monday, December 11, 1989 in the San Lorenzo Catholic Church wih Rev. Aidan Maguire, pastor, officiating.
Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1989 in the same church with the same officiant.
Burial followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mr. Lopez was pronounced dead at 5:30 a.m. Sunday at his Idalou residence by Justice of the Peace L. J. Blalack who ruled the death due to natural causes. He had been under a doctor's care.
He was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Morelos, Quaquila, Mexico, and married Rosita Navarro Aug. 26, 1960, in Ralls. She preceded him in death March 13, 1984.
He was a farmer and a member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Society. He moved to Idalou in 1967 from Lorenzo.
Survivors include three sons, Ernest of Austin, Ben and Simon of Rogers, TX; three daughters, Elsa Ann Lopez of Austin, Esther Lopez of Lubbock and Margarita Enestrosa of Thorndale, TX; three brothers, Charlie of Lorenzo, Joe and Luis of Thorndale; three sisters, Rosa Rodriquez, of Bartlett, Maria Riojas of Houston, and Eufemia Barrea of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.
