Carlo LopezLORENZO — Carlos Charlie Lopez went to be with our Lord March 3rd, 2012. He was born to the late Ventura and Luz Lopez November 4th, 1919 in San Carlos Coahuila, Mexico.

Charlie was a very giving person who loved gardening, and never knew a stranger. He enjoyed long conversations with friends and family.

Rosary services will be tonight at 7 p.m. at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo, Texas.

Charlie was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Lopez; a great-great grandson, Samuel Mayne; three brothers, Cipriano, John, and Victor Lopez; and two sisters, Lola Garcia, and Mary Rodriguez.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Valbina; five sons, Mike, Rey, Rudy, Ben, and David; eight daughters, Mary, Isabel, Dominga, Esther, Rosa, Sally, Lucy, and Judy; two sisters, Rosa Rodriguez, and Fima Berrera; a brother, Joe Lopez; 44 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and two great-great-great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in San Lorenzo Catholic Church Tuesday March 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Jose Kochuparambil, OSB officiating. Burial will follow in Lorenzo cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Charlie loved his family and will be greatly missed.
