Rosary for Anita Leora, 78, of Lubbock were held at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Mass was held at noon Monday, March 8, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Father Andres Mendoza officiating. Burial was followed at Lorenzo City Cemetery under the direction of Cavillo Funeral Home of Lubbock.

She died on March 4, 2004, in Lubbock.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1925, in Seguin, Texas. She moved to Lubbock in 1968 from Lorenzo. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

She is preceded in death by brothers, Gerturiz Loera Jr. on Aug. 23, 2001, and Hermilio Loera in 1945; and a sister, Natividad Leora in 1932.

Survivors include four brothers: Leopoldo R. and Victor R., both of Lubbock; Edwards R. of Lavon, and Ramon R. of Navasota, Texas; five sisters; Victoria L. Esquibel and Matilde L. Zapata, both of Lubbock; Dominga L. Mendoza and Maria Lousia Hinojos, both of Lorenzo; and Pabla L. Garcia of Richardson, TX; and 34 nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Rudy Mendoza, Reynes Esquibel Jr., Carlos Hinojos, Alejandro Garcia, Ramon Loera Jr. and Alberto H. Zapata.
