LORENZO (Special) - Services for Doris Knowlton, 87, of Lorenzo will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at Lubbock's University Medical Center.

She was born March 10, 1909, in Lakin, Kan. She married Ray Knowlton on Feb. 13, 1930, in Plainview. She moved to Lorenzo from Bledsoe in 1964. She was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Faithful Samaritan Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Lorenzo Study Club.

She was an artist.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carole Kelley of Idalou; two brothers, Johnnie Clayton of Plainview and Lyle Clayton of Washington; a sister, Betty Hays of Canyon; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
