Graveside services for Neoma Jones, 99, will be held at Lorenzo Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 with Dr. Jerry Golden officiating. Burial is under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. Grandsons and great-grandsons will be pallbearers.
Visitation will be Monday, April 5, 2010 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo.
Mrs. Jones passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Heritage Oaks Nursing Facility in Lubbock. She was born in Fannin County, Texas on September 9, 1910. Neoma is originally from Crosbyton, having lived in Lubbock the past 15 years. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Crosbyton Independent Schools.
Neoma was preceded in death by her husband, Rodge Jones; two sons, Donald Stephenson and Billy Joe Stephenson; two grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by one sister, Ruthe Davis of Houston; one daughter, Wyanza Pierce and spouse Donald of Lubbock; and one son, Randall (Fred) Stephenson and spouse Jeri of Manzanolla, Colorado. Neoma had 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
