LORENZO (Special) - Services for Earl W. Jones, 68, of Lorenzo will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Klaverweiden, pastor of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Jones died at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

The Red River County native moved to Lorenzo in January from Germany. He married Nadine McKeehan Jan. 6, 1942, in Comanche. He had been employed by the city of Irving and was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Esther Gisshiner of North Carolina; three sons, Bill and James, both of Lorenzo, and Tom of Boston, Mass.; his mother, Nettie Jones of Cooper; a sister, Flossie Marion of Cooper; two brothers, Roy of Cooper, and Lee of Klondike; and three grandchildren.
