LORENZO (Special) - Services for Doris Jennings, 87, of Lorenzo will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Namiqa Shipman, pastor of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

She died Wednesday, July 7, 1997, at Home Again in Ralls.

She was born Nov. 5, 1909, in Lorenzo. She married Joe Jennings on March 28, 1936, in Portales, N.M. He died Feb. 17, 1990. She was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church, the Faithful Samaritans Sunday School Class and the Lorenzo Study Club.

She was a homemaker and a former schoolteacher, and she had worked for Jennings Dry Goods Store.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Joe of Lorenzo; a daughter, Jayne Eason of Newport Beach, Calif.; a brother, Billy Jack Green of Waco; two sisters, Eloise Robinson of Waco and Peggy Phillips of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
