LORENZO (Special) - Services for Mrs. Mittie Catching Hughes, 92, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church here officiated by the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor, Dr. D. L. Lowry of Lubbock and the Rev. E. R. McGregor of Ralls.Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lubbock Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 31, 1889, in Brister, Ark., and moved to Crosby County in 1911. She married Frank Hughes in Estacado Dec. 27, 1915. He died June 7, 1948.
Survivors include a son, Clifton J. of Fort Worth; a brother, Joe Catching of Lorenzo; and one grandchild.
