Leslie Vance Huckabay, 75, of Sweetwater, former vice-president of Lorenzo First State Bank in Lorenzo, died of natural causes at 7:50 a.m. Monday at his home in Sweetwater. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lorenzo Cemetery in Lorenzo, directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater.
The Rev. Charles Reece, pastor of First Christian Church of Sweetwater officiated.
Born Sept. 15, 1908 in Erath County, he married Nadine Jacobs, May 12, 1933 in Clayton, NM. He had lived in Lorenzo for 65 years, moving to Sweetwater two and a half years ago. He was a World War II Veteran.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janet Setliff of Sweetwater; a grandson, Shannon Setliff of Sweetwater; and three sisters, Madge Loft of Clovis, NM; Maude Luttrell of Stephenville, and Cordie Beck of Dallas.

SWEETWATER (Special) Graveside services for Nadine Huckabay, 82, of Sweetwater will be at 11 a.m. today in Lorenzo City Cemetery.
Interment will be directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Huckabay died Monday, Aug. 9, 1993, at her residence.
She was born on July 11, 1911, in Fannin County and married Leslie Vance Huckabay on May 12, 1933, in Clayton, NM. He died on Sept. 19, 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lorenzo.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Setliff; a sister, Helen McMullan of Sweetwater; and a grandson.
