Services for Billy Dale Hubbard, 55, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

He died at 3:50 a.m. Monday, June 1, 1998, at St. Mary´s Skilled Nursing Center in Lubbock.

He was born Aug. 16, 1942, in Brownfield and married Peggy Brown on March 31, 1962, in Tahoka. He was a diesel mechanic and had worked for S.B. Campbell Trucking Company. He was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church. He moved to Lorenzo in 1966 from Dallas.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Hubbard of Lorenzo; his mother, Beulah Hubbard of Tahoka; three daughters, Karen Garcia of Idalou, and Patricia Garcia and Sandra Hubbard both of Lorenzo; three sisters, Betty Jolly and Genay Jolly both of Tahoka, and Shirley Burkhalter of Carrollton; and 6 grandsons.
