Funeral rites for Mrs. Marilyn Sue Hood of Lorenzo were at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kiel Quesenberry, pastor, and the Rev. Bruce Parks, former pastor, officiating. Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery.

Mrs. Hood, 53, died about 4 p.m. last Wednesday in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock. She had experienced a lengthy illness. She was a cousin of Marie Cornelius and T.W. Stockton of Crosbyton.

A Big Spring native, Mrs. Hood had resided in Lorenzo since 1928.

Survivors include her husband, William M. Hood; a daughter Mrs. Cris Lafferty [Cathy Hood] of Oklahoma City, Okla; two sons, Mark Hood and Mike Hood, both of the home; her mother, Mrs. S.B. Campbell of Lorenzo; two brothers, Harold Campbell of Lorenzo and S.B. Campbell Jr. of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Aubrye Boswell of Waco and Mrs. Ben Appleton of Abernathy.
