Services for Ricardo Urista Hinojos, 52, of Lubbock were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2001, at Iglesia Bautista Jerusalem in Lorenzo with the Rev. Carlos Hinojos officiating and C.M. Rentaria assisting.

Burial was in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

He died Friday, February 9, 2001, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born March 11, 1948, in Idalou, TX.

He was a Baptist. He lived in the Lubbock area most of his life.

Survivors include his father, Cesareno Hinojos of Lorenzo; three sons, Jesus Hinojos of Longview, Ricardo Hinojos Jr., of Florida and Guadalupe Hinojos of Longview; one daughter, Eseralda Lara of Florida; nine brothers, Usaac Hinojos of Dalhart, Isaias Hinojos of Lorenzo, Guadalupe Hinojos of South Carolina, Cesareo Hinojos of Dover, Florida, Leandro Hinojos of Lorenzo, Obed Hinojos of Lubbock, Rogelio Hinojos of Lorenzo, Pedro Hinojos of Lorenzo, Dagoberto Hinojos of Los Angeles; four sisters, Irma Rodriquez of Lubbock, Irene Fedelin of Lorenzo, Olga Ramos of Lubbock, and Emma Silvas of Denver City; and eighteen grandchildren.
