Services for Jewell Hicks, 91, of Lubbock will be at 4 p.m. today in Lorenzo´s First Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Stephens, a retired Methodist minister, officiating. Dennis Williams, pastor, will assist.Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, in St. Mary Plaza.
She was born in Rule. She moved to Lubbock from Lorenzo in 1995. She was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church. She married C.L. Hicks on Dec. 14, 1932, in Lawton, Okla. He died Dec. 18, 1969.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Stephens of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials to the Lorenzo Cemetery Association in care of City Hall, P.O. Box 430, Lorenzo 79343.
