Services for Tom Franklin Gregory, 82, of Lorenzo were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 1989 in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Golden, pastor, and Rev. John Jenkins and Minister Travis Boyd officiating.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Gregory died at 6:29 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 1989 in Lubbock Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born October 31, 1906 in Stonewall County, Texas and married Lillian Itasca Grace Feb. 8, 1933 in Idalou. He was a mechanic. He moved to Lorenzo 56 years ago.

He was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church where he was a former Treasurer and Usher. He was a former Lorenzo Night Watchman and Constable.

Survivors include: his wife, Lillian Gregory of Lorenzo; one son, O.L. (Orvin) Gregory of Lorenzo; one daughter, Mrs. Vonda Tatkenhorst of Idalou; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charlie Hunter, Eugene Woodard, Marvin Schoepf, Herschel Bird, Earl Coulter, Bill Nelson.
