U.S.Flag   James Edward "Ed" Gray, 92, of Lorenzo, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2012, in Lubbock. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 16, 2012, at Lorenzo Cemetery with Rev. Kris Knippa officiating under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-5 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home in Lorenzo.

Ed was born on January 28, 1919, in Lorenzo, Texas to William Scott and Mary Viner (Wilson) Gray. He has been married to Tena Koonce Gray for 72 years . He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in construction all of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Tena Gray of Lorenzo, two daughters, Judy McArthur of Snyder & Daryl Ray & husband Carroll of Lorenzo, one sister, Dell Scroggins of Austin, two brothers, San Gray of Arkansas & Paul Haney Gray of Levelland, his grandchildren, Mike & Nancy Hurst of Roswell, Eric Hurst & Misty of Lubbock, Karl & Mylonne Hurst of Lorenzo & Heather & John Plaisance of Temple, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lorenzo Senior Citizens Center.
