George "Papa George" Garza, 61, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Burial will follow in Lorenzo Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo. Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at San Lorenzo Catholic Church.
Mr. Garza was born on Aug. 31, 1950, in Orange Grove, Texas, to David and Ernestina Garza. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Ramos, and his father.
Survivors include his mother; five sons; four daughters; six brothers; seven sisters; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
