Memorial services for N. O. Sam Garner, 72, of Lubbock and formerly of the Robertson Community south of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1993, in Carter-Adams Funeral Home in Ralls with the Rev. Rick Sullivan, pastor of Farwell First Baptist Church, officiating.

Private burial was at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 1993, in Lorenzo Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Roard, pastor of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Mr. Garner was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon at this Lubbock residence by Justice of the Peace Tom Head, who ruled natural causes in the death.

He was born July 29, 1920 in Gould, Okla., and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for Robert Heath Trucking Co. in Lubbock for about 25 years and was a Baptist. He had lived in the Lubbock and Lorenzo area all of his life. He formerly lived in the Robertson community.

Survivors include a brother, R. J. Jeter Garner of Farwell; and a sister, Jennie Denton of Dennison.
