Rosary for Maria Del-Jesus Garcia, 82, of Lorenzo was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 1993, in San Lorenzo Catholic Church with the Rev. Aidan Maguire, pastor, officiating.Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 1993, in the same church with the same officiant.
Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Garcia was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1993, at her residence by Justice of the Peace James Isbell who ruled natural causes in the death.
She was born Dec. 25, 1910 in Devine and married Fermin Garcia on July 12, 1941, in Mexico. She moved to Lorenzo 4 years ago from La Vernia, Tx. She was a homemaker and a member of San Lorenzo Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Fermin Garcia; three sons, Juan of Wadstock, Ill., Pedro of Goldthwaite and Jaime of San Antonio; four daughters, Irma Castillo of Brownwood, Dora Regino of Vernon, Maria Garcia of Lorenzo and Graciela Leija of La Vernia; six brothers, Juan Contreras, Julian Contreras, Lorenzo Contreras, Guillermo Contreras, Jackbo G. Contreras and Miterio Contreras, all of Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico; a sister Mariana Contrereas of Sabinas; 35 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
