LORENZO (Special) - Rosary for Fermin Garcia, 88, of Lorenzo will be at 7 p.m. today in Lorenzo San Lorenzo Catholic Church with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper, pastor, officiating.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the same church with the same officiant.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Garcia died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, in Crosbyton Hospital.

He was born July 7, 1908, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He married Maria Contreras on July 12, 1941, in Mexico. She died Feb. 6, 1993. He was a member of San Lorenzo Catholic Church. He moved to Lorenzo from La Vernia in 1989.

Survivors include three sons, Juan of Woodstock, Ill., Pedro of Goldthwaite and Jaime of San Antonio; four daughters, Irma Castillo of Brownwood, Dora Regino of Vernon, Maria Garcia of Lorenzo and Graciela Leija of San Antonio; two brothers, Serapino of Eagle Pass and Jose Maria of Midland; 35 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
