LORENZO (Special) Services for Wendell Fullingim, 54, of Lorenzo will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lorenzo Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Williams officiating.
Burial will be at Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
He died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at his residence.
He was born June 13, 1945, in Wheeler. He married Linda Welborn July 12, 1963, in Lubbock. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lorenzo where he taught Sunday school for years. He was also a member of the Lorenzo Lodge and was a post master. He graduated from Lubbock High School in 1963. He moved to Lorenzo from Brookshire in 1975.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Wendell Jr. of Lubbock, and Jackie Eugene and Adam Young, both of Austin; two daughters, Shelley Aycock of Lubbock and Cassie Chesnutt of Aransas Pass; two brothers, J. Worth Fullingim of Lubbock and Dwight B. Fullingim of Saudia Arabia and Denton; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Lorenzo First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 310, Lorenzo 79343.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Adams Funeral Home.
