Lindsay Fisher Funeral Held In Knox City
Funeral services for Lindsay Fisher, 74, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church in Knox City, with the Rev. John Gillispie, pastor, and the Rev. Jack Mattox, pastor of the First Christian Church officiating.Graveside services were held at 3 a.m. Monday at the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Knox City.
Fisher died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday in Knox City Hospital after an illness.
Born in DeKalb, he married Pauline Bradshaw on March 29, 1930, in Hollis, Okla. He was a retired farmer and had moved to Knox City from Lorenzo in 1966. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a great-grandson.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Glen Davis of Sonora; four daughters, Mrs. Burma Niell of Lubbock, Mrs. Joan Yoakum of Lorenzo, Mrs. Mary Rauch of Knox City, and Mrs. Kay Ardis of Richardson; a sister, Mrs. Melba Latson of Childress; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Curtis Coates, Raymond Bales, Tommy Kent, Weldon Skiles, Willie Collins and W.B. McNulty.
