Rosary for Maria Luisa Guzman Esquibel, 62, of Lubbock will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2007 at the San Lorenzo Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the same church with the Rev. Roland Buxkemper officiating. Burial will be held in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral
Mary passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Lubbock Healthcare Center.
She was born September 1, 1944 in Floresville, Texas to the late Terso and Juanita (Salazar) Guzman. She is preceded in death by her husband Lucio D. Pena on September 2, 1990. She was a member of the Catholic Church and De Colores. She had worked on the assembly line at Neubro Corporation and had lived in the Lorenzo area all her life.
She is preceded in death by a sister; Rosia G. Ferraga in 2001.
Survivors include; a son; John Henry Guzman of Big Spring, four daughters; Susie Rodriguez of Lorenzo, Sharon Esquibel of Torrence, California, Crystal Erixson of Ft. Worth, Prescilla Esquibel of Lubbock, a brother; Terso Guzman, Jr. of Lorenzo, two sisters; Lupe Calzada of Lorenzo, Janie Oresco of Runge, Texas and 9 grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were; Moe Rodriguez, Jesse M. Rodriguez, Lawrence Brown, Tony Garcia, John Henry Guzman and Luiz Guzman.
