Rosemary EavesRosemary Eaves passed away on February 17, 2006 in Plano, Texas. Rose and her husband, Euland, moved to Brownfield from Lorenzo, TX soon after they married in 1933. They owned an appliance and television sales and service shop on the square, and later on the Tahoka Rd., for many years. She has lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2002.

Rose was born in Wolf City, Texas, on March 26, 1913, the fifth child of William Victor and Nora Evans Mack. She was predeceased by Euland in 1986 as well as her brothers Wylie, Ferman and Archie Mack and her sister Viola Chastain. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Eaves of Houston, and her sons and daughters-in-law, Mack and Irma Eaves of Plano and Dan and Susan Eaves of Arlington. Euland's sister, Marga Van Camp, of, Florida, also survives her.

Mack and Irma's children and grandchildren are: Christopher Eaves of Seattle; Tiffini and Sean Coveney of Benton, Louisiana, and their children Quinn and Myra; and Jessica and Stephen Lockhart of Dallas. Dan and Susan's children and grandchildren are: Kelli Eaves Carter and her son Lucas of Dallas; Daniel Eaves of Dallas; Lisette O'Neill and her daughter Briana of Grand Prairie; and Mark O'Neill of Lewisville.

Everyone enjoyed Rose's wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family, her friends and her church, and her hands were always busy gardening, crocheting and quilting treasured heirlooms. For many years, Rose and her friends rescued hundreds of dolls at garage sales and fixed them up for children in need. They also made dozens of quilts for girls graduating from high school at Girls Town USA.

Rose loved music. Her toe tapped and her eyes lit up when she sang "You Are My Sunshine" with her grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Lorenzo Cemetery at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brownfield Church of Christ, 502 Lubbock Road, Brownfield, TX 79316.
