Funeral Services For Lorenzo Child Held On Tuesday
Funeral services for Wanda Dutton, 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Dutton of Lorenzo, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Lorenzo Baptist church, with Rev. H. J. West, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Lorenzo cemetery with King Funeral Home of Crosbyton in charge.
The child died Sunday morning at 9:20 a.m. in a Dallas hospital following a long illness after being taken there last Wednesday. Her father, returning from Dallas Wednesday night, fell asleep and wrecked his car in Blanco Canyon. He was released from the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital Saturday after receiving treatment for a skull fracture, and was reported doing satisfactorily at his home in Lorenzo. He was carried to the funeral service for his daughter in a King amburlance.
Besides the parents, survivors include one sister, Minnie May; a brother, Donald Ray; and a grandfather, John Huddleston, of Lindsey, Okla.
