Graveside services for Billy D. Devore, 69, of Lubbock were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lorenzo Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock.

He died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001.

He was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Lorenzo and had been a resident of Lubbock since 1950. He attended Lorenzo High School and Stamford High School. He worked as a machinist at Gould´ s Pump Co. for 17 years and at Nubro Bearings for 10 years. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include four sons, James of Oklahoma City, Billy C. and Paul, both of Lubbock, and Steve of Fresno, CA; three daughters, LaVerne Crenshaw and Lois Carmicheal, both of Lubbock and April Gowers of Fort Worth; four sisters, Erma McCarrell and Elva Campbell, both of Abilene, and Helen Branson and Barbra Tucker, both of Lubbock; 16 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
