Memorial services for Mollie Viola Day, 66, of Lubbock were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 14, 1988, in Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock with the Rev. Dale Cain, pastor, officiating.

Private graveside services were in Lorenzo under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She died at 9:25 p.m. Monday, Apr. 11, 1988, in St. Mary´s Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Acuff and lived in Lubbock most of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and active with the Girl Scouts. She was a member of Embroidery Guild, Lubbock Symphony Guild, South Plains Genealogy Society and The Ladies Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include a son, Roger Battistoni of Missouri; a daughter, Gilda V. Bryant of Amarillo; two brothers, Don Day and Dan Day, both of Meadow; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Caprock Girl Scout Council.
