Services for Nelson Oliver Crouch, 76, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 9, 1986, in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor, officiating.He was assisted by Travis Boyd, minister.
Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 1:50 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 1986 in Lubbock Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in San Saba County and moved to Lorenzo in 1952 from Hunt County. He married Doris Davis on March 8, 1930, in Rule. He was a farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Doug of Hereford, Joe of Shallowater and Jansco of Lubbock; a brother, Cliff of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Nephews served as pallbearers.

LORENZO (Special) - Services for Doris Crouch, 85, of Lorenzo will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Lorenzo First Baptist Church with burial in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home. She died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997, in Lubbock West Texas Skilled Nursing Facility.She was born April 12, 1912, in Haskell County. She married Oliver Nelson Crouch on March 8, 1930, in Rule. He died June 7, 1986. She was a member of Lorenzo First Baptist Church, Bible Study Club and the Lorenzo Study Club and AARP.
She was an Avon representative for 29 years. She moved to Lorenzo from Hunt County in 1952.
Survivors include three sons, Doug of Hereford and Joe and Jansco, both of Lubbock; two brothers, D.R. Davis of Lubbock and Clyde Davis of Crosbyton; a sister, Mattie Ruth Payne of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
