Services for Lottie M. Collins, age 76, were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 4 in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Rev. John Jenkins of Lubbock and Dr. Jerry Golden, pastor, officiating.Burial followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 1986 at Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 4, 1910 in Gorman, Texas. She married Claude E. Collins February 7, 1931 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a housewife and member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church and past Worthy Matron of Lorenzo Order of Eastern Star in 1951. She moved to Lorenzo in 1933 from the Lubbock area where she had lived since 1919.
Survivors include her husband, daughter, Ernesteen Kelly of Lubbock, one son, John Allen Collins, preceded her in death November 15, 1971. One daughter, Mrs. Leon "Willodean" Mackey, preceded her in death, November 16, 1981.
Other survivors are 1 brother Bob Vaught of Roundup, Texas; 1 sister, Mrs. Jack "Johnnie" Bowman of Lorenzo; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren

LORENZO - Services for Claude E. Collins, 94, of Lorenzo will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lorenzo First Baptist Church with the Rev. D.L. Lowrie officiating.Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside in Lubbock.
He was born Sept. 30, 1906, in Cold Water, La. He married Lottie Merle Vaught on Feb. 7, 1931, in Clovis, N.M. She died Oct. 2, 1986. He moved to Lorenzo in 1933 from Lubbock. He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church in Lorenzo.
A son, John Allen Collins, died Nov. 15, 1971. A daughter, Willodean Mackey, died Nov. 16, 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Ernesteen Kelley of Lubbock; a half-brother, Bill Collins of Apple Valley, Calif.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials to Lorenzo First Baptist Church or Texas Boys Ranch.
