Obituary

Services for Mrs. Trinidad Chavarria, 75, of Lorenzo were held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Lorenzo under direction of Carter Funeral Home of Ralls.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery.

Mrs. Chavarria died about 6 p.m. Thursday in Lubbock´s West Texas Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She moved to Lorenzo from Petersburg in 1957. she was a native of Monterrey, Mexico.

Survivors include her husband, Santana; three daughters, Mrs. Maria Elsa Medillin of Lorenzo and Mrs. Ramona Martinez and Mrs. Frances Sanchez, both of Lubbock; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

LORENZO (Special) — Rosary for Santana Chavarria, 83, of Lorenzo will be at 8 p.m. today at San Lorenzo Catholic Church.

Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at San Lorenzo Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerry Frawley, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died at 8:55 a.m. Sunday in the Benver Terrace Nursing Home in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Laredo. He married Trinidada Delgado Sept. 26, 1921, in Laredo. She died Jan. 27, 1977. He was a farmer. He was a member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church and San Lorenzo Sacred Heart. He moved to Lorenzo in 1960 from Hereford.

Survivors include two daughters, Ramona C. Martinez and Frances Sanchez, both of Lubbock; a brother, Cleo Fas Charvarria of San Antonio; two sisters, Lucinda Mendeolla and Cecillia Chavarria, both of Laredo; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
