RALLS (Special) — Services for Emory Cate, 83, of Lorenzo will be at 2 p.m. today in Carter-Adams Funeral Home in Ralls with the Rev. E.R. McGregor officiating. Burial will be in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Cate died Monday at Memorial Nursing Home in Lubbock after an illness.
A native of Altoga, he married Lillie May Conger Dec. 26, 1915 in Mulberry Crossing. He was a retired farmer and moved to Lorenzo in 1941 from Collins County.
Survivors include seven sons, H.H. of Hurst, Warren of Anton, Wayne of Irving, James of Lubbock, George of Burleson, Don of Arlington, E.M. of Shallowater, three daughters, Mrs. Jimmy Walker of Lorenzo, Mrs. R.J. Stroup of Moore, Okla., and Mrs. John Davis of Salem, Ore.; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
