Prayer services for Benita Baeza, 61, of Lorenzo were held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 1998, at the Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. C.M. Renteria officiating.
Funeral services were held at the same location on Thursday, January 22, 1998, at 10 a.m. with the same officiate.
Burial followed in the Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.
Mrs. Baeza died at 6:19 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, in St. Mary Hospital in Lubbock following an illness.
She was born March 31, 1936, in Sinton, TX and married Stephen Baeza in Carlsbad, NM, on Oct. 10, 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic church. She moved to Lorenzo several years ago from Artesia, N.M.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Baeza of Lorenzo; eight sons, Robert Barbosa of Elk City, Okla., Ernie Barbosa of Nickson, Manuel Barbosa of Andrews, Daniel Barbosa of Artesia, N.M., Luther Barbosa of Pecos, Oscar Barbosa of Lubbock, Andy Barbosa of Phoenix, Ariz., and Marcos Adames of Lorenzo; four daughters, Janie Delgado of Artesia, Anita Martinez of Dallas, Gloria Bejar of Villa Aldama, Mexico, and Connie Barbosa of Lorenzo; 15 brothers and sisters; 36 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
