Services for G. H. "Shorty" Moore, 88, of Estacado were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 1992, in Lorenzo Fist United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sid Parsley, pastor of Haskell First United Methodist Church, and Lee Roark, pastor of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Estacado Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died at 10:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 1992, in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 26, 1904 in Eastland and married Jack [Mary Belle] Micheal Dec. 23, 1933 in Lubbock. He moved to the Estacado area in 1920. He was a former member of the Estacado School Board, Lorenzo School Board and Estacado gin Board. He was a member of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church. A son, Jerry Michael Moore died on June 9, 1985.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jackie of Lorenzo; a daughter, Kaye Held of Flower Mound; a brother, Linn A. Moore of Lorenzo; a sister, Rachel Peacock of Petersburg; three grandchildren, Mark, Monte and Marla; and four great grandchildren, Meredith, Jared, Kalli and Dustin.

Private graveside services for Mary Belle "Jack" Moore, 92, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, at the Estacado Cemetery. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

She died Saturday, May 1, 2004, in Lubbock.

She was born Mary Belle Michael on Aug. 27, 1911, in Lubbock to Charles R. and Sarah Belle Soules Michael. She was a graduate of Estacado High School. She married George Houston Moore of Eastland on Dec. 23, 1933, in Lubbock. He died on Dec. 4, 1992. She was employed by the Lorenzo ISD as a pastry/dessert specialist for 20 years. She lived in the Estacado community much of her life before moving to Lorenzo in 1992. She was a two-year resident of Elmwood House in Lubbock, where she was living at the time of her death. She was a member of Lorenzo First United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Michael Moore who died June 9, 1985, and Jackie Houston Moore who died Dec. 23, 2003; seven sisters and a brother, Callie Michael in 1978, Lucy Henderson in 1947, Dora (Dode) Moore in 1991, Emma Stockton in 1940, Ruby Wingo in 1971, Nat Michael in 1978, Ruth Young in 2002 and Jennie Fox in 1994. She was the last surviving member of the Michael family.

She is survived by a daughter, Kaye Held and husband Ray of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Moore of Lorenzo; grandsons, Monte Lynn Moore of Lubbock and Mark Houston Moore of Lorenzo; granddaughter, Marla Kay Pharr and husband Jacky of Idalou; a great-grandson, Jared Pharr; two great-granddaughters, Meredith Pharr and Kalli Moore; and special friends, Sonny and Janie Flores of Lubbock.

Pallbearers will be Joe Warren Brown, Dee Reynolds, Jim Ashby, Van Cypert, Jim Norris and Allan Adams.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, P.O. Box 16800, Lubbock, TX 79490-6800, in lieu of floral offerings. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 3, at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo
