Leslye Gay FondrenFriends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Leslye Gay Fondren at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, at Estacado Cemetery on 62/82 Highway between Idalou and Lorenzo, turn north on CR 3900, 4.7 miles, turn east on dirt road, one-half mile. Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers will host a gathering to reminisce her 46 years of life from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Ms. Fondren died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, after a brief illness.

Leslye was born Feb. 29, 1964, in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of Lorenzo's First United Methodist Church, a graduate of Lorenzo Independent School District and Texas Tech University.

Leslye was an avid golfer, internet entrepreneur, website designer and enjoyed photography. She co-owned Truck Safety Gear, a manufacturing and retail business of truck safety flags and banners. Leslye researched the history of the Llano Estacado from the late 1800s to present day and was in the process of publishing her work.

She leaves behind her parents, Tommy and Peggy Fondren of Lorenzo; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Sandy Duboise, Kathy Thompson, Annie Haller and many others.
