Velvet Bryant, beloved wife, daughter, mother and friend,departed this life on Tuesday,March 23, 2004, at the age of 39 years.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2003 at First Methodist Church in Floydada with Dr. David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Estacado Cemetery in Estacado. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore-Rose_White Funeral Home of Floydada.
She was born Jan. 22, 1965 in Altus, Oklahoma to Bobby Lee Greer and Alfrieda I. Taylor Greer. She graduated from high school in Spur in 1983 and attended Texas Tech University. She moved to Floydada from Spur in 1999 and married Terry Bryant on Oct. 27, 2000 in Lubbock. She was a substitute teacher, a member of the Wednesday Bible Study Class and attended First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Bryant of Floydada; her father, Bobby Lee Greer and wife, Lucy, of Spur; her mother, Alfrieda Greer of Spur; a son, Dustin Joshua Fincher of Floydada; a half-brother, Robert Greer of Lubbock; and a half-sister, Jaime Greer of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials to University Medical Center SICU, 602 Indiana Ave., Lubbock, TX 79415 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis,TN 38105.
