CROSBYTON (Special) Graveside services for Joe Edward Yarborough, 59, of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. today in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. George Johnson of Idalou officiating.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. in Primitive Baptist Church with the same officiant.
Burial will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born in Stonewall County and had lived in Ralls and Lubbock before moving to Crosbyton in 1975. He married Ruth Reese on March 16, 1953, in Carlsbad, NM. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict and worked for the Crosbyton Independent School District. He was a deacon of Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, a brother, Arthur of May; and two sisters, Allene Smith of Carlsbad, NM, and Gwen Claxton of Colorado City.

Graveside services for Bobbye Ruth Yarborough 78, of Crosbyton were held September 28, 2012, at the Crosbyton Cemetery.
She died September 24, 2012 in Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock.
Ruth was born January 1, 1934 in Ralls to Freeman and Gladys Reese. She was a long time member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Crosbyton. She was employed by the Crosbyton Schools until her retirement in 2000. Ruth married Joe Yarborough on March 16, 1953 in Carlsbad New Mexico.
Joe preceded her in death on January 10, 1989.
Survivors include her adopted daughter, Ronee Ferguson and husband Steve of Crosbyton, Grandsons: Justin Anderson and Jennifer of Lubbock; Levi Anderson and Amanda of Idalou. Two great granddaughters : Whitley and Macy Anderson. Two siblings, Linda Watkins and Leon Reese of Lubbock, and numerous nieces and nephews.
