Obituary

CROSBYTON (Special) - William Edward (Ed) Wren, Crosbyton community and civic leader, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton hospital. He was 85.

Services will be conducted at 2:3 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church here with the pastor, the Rev. Ernest Stewart, and Bill Bryant, Crosbyton Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial in Crosbyton Cemetery will be directed by King Funeral Home.

Wren was born in Lampasas County, but moved to Crosbyton in 1922. He served several terms on the Crosbyton school board and city council.

Survivors include his wife, Ella; a step-son, Walter Young of Seagraves; two brothers, Worth Wren of Sanger and Carl Wren of Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. John Hamby of Hereford; one grandchild and one great grandchild.
