CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Silas Wilson, 71, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Galilee Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Gentry, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Wilson died Monday in Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.
He was a native of Benchley. He married Mary Alice Davenport Oct. 25, 1943, and they moved to Lubbock from Crosbyton in 1969. She died in 1981.
He was a member of the Church of God in Christ Alexander Chapel.
Survivors include six sons, Cleo of Fort Worth, Jerry of Lubbock, Robert of California, Silas Jr. of Denning, NM, and John and Charles, both of Big Spring; two daughters, Katherine Lawson of Crosbyton and Rachel Carter of Amarillo; two brothers, Willie and Esaw, both of Hearne; two sisters, Lizabell Meadow of Phoenix, Ariz., and Janie Watson of Fort Worth; and 20 grandchildren.
