Mary Wilson

Mary Alice Wilson, a former longtime Crosbyton resident, was claimed by death at 11 o´clock Friday in West Texas Hospital in Lubbock following a short illness. Mrs. Wilson, 63, made her home in Lubbock.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Galilee Baptist Church in Crosbyton. Conducting the services were the Rev. Eugene Gentry, pastor of the local church, and the Rev. M.J. Alexander of Lubbock.

Burial followed in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Born April 16, 1918 in Hearne, Tex., she was married to Salis Wilson on Oct. 25, 1943 in Benchley, Tex.

She moved to Lubbock in 1969 from Crosbyton. Mrs. Wilson was employed as a domestic worker.

She was a member of the Church of God in Christ, Alexander Chapel, in Lubbock.

Survivors include her husband, Salis Wilson of Lubbock; four sons, John Wilson and Charles Wilson, both of Big Spring, Cleo Wilson of Fort Worth and Jerry Wilson of Lubbock; two daughters, Katherine Lawson of Crosbyton and Rachel Carter of Amarillo; four brothers; five sisters; and eight grandchildren.
