Obituary

Services were held at 3 p.m. Wed. June 25, 1986 in First United Methodist Church for Naomi Wheeler, Rev. Al Jennings of Morton, a former Crosbyton pastor, and Rev. Larry Ramsey, pastor, assisted. Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wheeler, 81, died at 3 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 1986 at South Park Medical Center in Lubbock after a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 17, 1904 in Wise Co. In 1925 she married H.E. (Pete) Marsh. He died in Oct. 1955. She married Rex Wheeler June 3, 1960 in Crosbyton.

Mrs. Wheeler was an active member of First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Crosbyton High School and was a supporter of Crosbyton Care Center and Girls Town USA in Whiteface.

Survivors include her husband Rex of the home, three daughters, Mrs. Dutch (Melba) Hines of Crosbyton, Mrs. Rusty (Jodye) Baccus of Lockney and Mrs. Oleta Wheeler of Crosbyton; two stepsons, Charlie Wheeler of Crosbyton and Edwin Wheeler of Allen; two brothers, Elmer Reed and H.M. Reed Jr. of Lubbock, one sister, Goldie Brown of Crosbyton; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

One step-son W.F. Wheeler preceded her in death.
