Obituary
Funeral services for Edward D. Wallace, 82, long time resident of Crosbyton, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at the First Baptist Church. Rev. O.W. Pierce officiated, assisted by Elder Dennis Taylor.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Mr. Wallace, who first moved to the Crosbyton area in 1920, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at his home after an extended illness. He was a farmer until he retired eight years ago.
Survivors include four sons, Ernest, Travis, Olan and Darwin, all of Crosbyton; four daughters, Mrs. L.C. Lansford and Mrs. Lonnie Ellis, both of Crosbyton, Mrs. Wayne Appling, Floydada, and Mrs. Bert Pitkins, New Braunfels; 26 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
