Obituary
Mrs. Ouida Walker of Lubbock succumbed at 1:17 a.m. Sunday in St. Mary´s Hospital in Lubbock following a heart attack. She was 47.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Ronnie Marley, pastor of Westside Baptist Church in Round Rock, and the Rev. Bobby Rine, local Baptist pastor.
Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
A Crosbyton native, Mrs. Walker was employed as a tailor shop cashier in Lubbock.
The former Ouida Edwards was born in Crosbyton, June 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Harrison and Lillie Pearl Edwards, early Crosby County settlers. Her mother succumbed May 3 of this year.
Mrs. Walker moved 29 years ago from Crosbyton to Lubbock.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alana Fuller of Lubbock; three brothers, Hoyt Edwards of Stephenville, Charles Edwards of Lubbock, and Kenneth Edwards of Lockney; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Marley of Crosbyton and Mrs. Harley Meek of Plainview; and two grandchildren.
