  CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Leroy Walter Voigt, 61, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Ramsey, pastor, and the Rev. Johnnie Williams, a retired Methodist minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home. He died at 9:30 p.m. Monday in Amarillo´s Veterans Administration Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Lynn County and moved to Crosbyton in 1964. He married Sybil White on Jan. 6, 1946, in Clovis, NM. He was a Lubbock police officer from 1954 to 1964, when he purchased the R.C. Wood Ranch in Crosbyton. He was Crosby County Sheriff from 1975 until retiring in 1978. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6721 in Slaton and the Green Hut Domino Club in Crosbyton. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Opportunity Sunday School Class, the Methodist Men and served on the Administrative Board

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Ronnie of Crosbyton, Terry of Lubbock and Dennis of Pensacola, Fla.; three daughters, Nancy Gallimore of Lubbock, Roinell Westbury of Plano and Paula Winegarner of Corpus Christi; a brother, Harold of Slaton; and 13 grandchildren.
