  CROSBYTON (Special) - Rosary for Richard Vega Sr., 69, of Crosbyton will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Leatham, pastor, officiating.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in the same church with the same officiant.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Vega died Friday at his residence.

He was born in Chriesman and moved to Crosbyton from Bryan in 1959. He married Pauline Valderez on June 17, 1948, in Caldwell. She died on May 19, 1982. He worked at the Cotton Compress in Ralls until retiring in 1986. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. A son, Richard Jr., died on Aug. 30, 1974.

Survivors include a son, Salome of Crosbyton; five daughters, Lena Pacheco, Josephine Tambunga and Maria V. Guerrero, all of Crosbyton, Rosa Ortega of Lubbock and Erlinda Carrasco of Pleasanton; a sister, Antonia Pineda of Caldwell; 216 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
