  Graveside services for Dwain William Upham, 80, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996 in Crosbyton Cemetery with Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of the Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Upham died about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1996, at his Ralls residence. He was under the care of Hospice.

He was born Aug. 14, 1915, in Carlton, TX, and married Fae Richardson Mar. 28, 1976, in Levelland. He was employed at the main office of the Santa Fe Railroad in Lubbock for 17 years. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He moved to Ralls in 1989 from Lubbock. He was a former resident of Ruidoso, NM.

Survivors include his wife of Ralls; two sons, Chris Carvington of Hurley, MM, and D.W. Upham, Jr., of Plano; one step-son, Horace "Hoss" Lawler of Lubbock; four daughters, Kathleen Pollard of Deming, NM, Annett Hilton of Malden, MA, Connie Sides of Rankin, TX, and Janett LaFon of Deming, NM; two step daughters, Pat Gray of Anton and Dennia Lawler of Lubbock; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
